Monday Made it - August 5th

I'm linking up with Tara for Monday Made it!

I'm not usually crafty, but I decided to try and fancy up my clip chart with some ribbon. It was fun to make but, I did accidentally hot glue it to my kitchen floor. I changed the wording on my clip chart this year, and am excited to use it. I also made a Clip Hall of Fame display. At the end of each week, those students who have at least 3 clip ups to the top of the chart, will be given a gem to decorate their clip. I bought stick on gems to make it easy to attach. Once they have earned six gems, their clip will be retired and they will get a new one.  Then, they get to choose the color in which I write their name on their new clip. Exciting stuff!

You can download both of them here!

  2. Super cute chart! Really, really like that! The gem thing also sounds like a great plan. The kids love when they can add something like that to show off.

I'm in 4th, and I use Class Dojo. Anyone with 10 pts. at the end of the week could pick a new avatar. They LOVED that! It's the simple things, ya know.....?

    1. I tried Class Dojo, but it didn't work as well as the clip chart with my last year's group of Kinders.

  15. I have a question...I'm switching from a card system to the clipchart system this year. I've searched all over the place and love your new behavior clip chart the best. However, I'm a little confused how you will use it in your classroom since you have clip chart at the top in yellow, you have a seperate clip chart hall of fame sign (I understand that concept) and your think about it is also in yellow. Could you explain the 2 that are in yellow and how you'll do that?
